Quality Assurance Analyst

My name is Bill Stevens, and I have a new nine month plus Quality Assurance Analyst opportunity available for a major firm located in Saint Charles, Missouri that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below. The work schedule will be hybrid, two days a week in the office and three days remote.

The ideal candidate should also possess a green card or be of citizenship.

This position pays $55.00 per hour on a w-2 hourly basis. No Visa entanglements and no H1-B holding companies.

The firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. The QA Analyst will be responsible for the planning, design, and execution of system and software testing, ranging from simple validations to complex implementations. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality solutions through meticulous test execution and documentation in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports for multiple projects.

Conduct thorough testing of software applications, integrations, and reporting systems.

Validate system performance against user expectations and project requirements.

Review business and user requirements to confirm they are testable and complete.

Identify, document, and report system defects and collaborate with the development team for resolution.

Design and implement automated regression test scripts.

Evaluate and communicate business risks related to software testing and implementation.

Collaborate with analysts, developers, and project managers to define effective testing strategies.

Ensure clear, measurable test objectives are in place for each project.

Contribute to post-project reviews with defect summaries to improve future QA processes.

Support timely and thorough testing of system enhancements prior to production release.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in creating use cases, test plans, and testing criteria, including data validation and boundary testing.

Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Hands-on experience using SQL for test data generation and validation.

Experience with automated testing tools such as Microsoft Test Manager, Selenium, or equivalent.

Knowledge of various QA testing levels, including Unit, System, and Regression testing.

Excellent self-management and proactive collaboration skills.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a QA Analyst or Tester role, ideally within a Microsoft technology environment.

Preferred experience with tools such as TFS/VSO and Jira.

Additional Notes:

This position will play a key role in testing integrations, order processing systems, and supporting documentation accuracy across projects.
