Perform one or more of the following assembly operations to produce Electro-Mechanical switch assemblies, sub-assemblies and module assemblies. Ensure that products are consistently produced in a timely manner in accordance with Drawing and Quality standards.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform the following job functions and main activities but not limited to:
Using such machinery as an Eyelet stacker, Brushes forming die, Sonic Welder, Drill press, Heat stacker, Hot Stamping, Tampo/Pad Printing.
Using such hand tools such as a Screwdriver, Wrenches, X-acto knife, Arbor Press, Assembly fixtures, soldering tools
Perform assembly operations such as Switch assembly, Transformer assembly, Sub-assembly, Potting, Soldering, Pressure check.
Identify parts by ink stamp and identify terminal locations by paint filling engraved lettering or numbers.
Ability to work from Assembly Drawings, Assembly Travelers, Modification Sheets and other assembly documentation per ISO-9001 /AS9100 procedures.
Ability to write and fill out Job Card, Time Card, Assembly traveler.
Responsible to ensure workmanship and check their own quality per internal workmanship document DPS-2276 and Military/ Aerospace specifications.
Ability to perform product inspection using Torque meters and Electrical meters would be a plus.
Perform soldering of components, including rotary switches and digital switches, to printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other related parts in compliance with J Standard (IPC J-STD-001).
Ensure all solder joints are mechanically stable, electrically conductive, and free from defects like cold solder joints, bridging, or excessive soldering.
Assemble rotary and digital switches by accurately placing components and securing them with solder, following strict assembly instructions and engineering guidelines.
Conduct wire wrapping, connector soldering, and other related assembly tasks for digital and rotary switch units.
Set up, operate, and maintain soldering equipment such as soldering irons, hot air rework stations, and automated soldering machines tailored for rotary and digital switch assembly
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent
1-2 years of soldering/assembly experience
