Mechanical Designer

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer/Drafter to support the design and documentation of complex mechanical systems for a high-performance engineering environment. Responsibilities include creating and detailing production and assembly drawings from 3D models and engineering input. This role requires the ability to assess and correct incomplete or inaccurate models, as well as generate fully dimensioned part and assembly documentation.

Ideal candidates will have:

5+ years of mechanical design/drafting experience

Proficiency with CREO (v7 or v8) and Windchill

Strong 3D modeling skills and the ability to create and revise detailed models

Working knowledge of machining practices

Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), particularly symbology
