Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are currently hiring for several CNC Machinist roles on both 1st and 2nd shifts. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of manual Mill & Lathe machining and will be responsible for performing highly diversified machinist work involving irregular shapes and alloys. The role includes machining, light finishing, and miscellaneous assignments using commonly-used machining concepts, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual machinery including milling machines, lathes, drill press, gun drill, surface grinder, hand tools, and miscellaneous presses according to engineering drawing specifications.

Rework parts as per print, with written and verbal instructions.

Maintain production by completing scheduled work on time.

Inspect components, subassemblies, and final assemblies to ensure proper form, fit, and function, meeting all dimensional criteria.

Complete all documentation including routings and inspection reports as required.

Document time entry into the computer and ensure all work in process is properly identified and shop floor packets are kept current.

Maintain inventory of material and hardware.

Assist maintenance with repair of machine parts.

Work directly with engineering to develop fixtures for production and process sheets for tooling.

Assist in other areas of the production department when needed.

React to situations that occur during the assembly process to ensure on-time delivery.

Maintain a clean, safe, well-organized work area at all times.

Perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned by a supervisor.Essential Skills

2+ years of CNC Machining experience.

Ability to set up, operate, and edit Swiss and mill machines.

Experience running Swiss & mills, machining, blueprint reading, and CNC mill operations.

Troubleshooting skills.

Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, work orders, or written instructions.Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of machine shop experience required, preferably in an engineering environment using the majority of the equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to read blueprints for finish specifications and critical dimensions.

Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, height gauges, and other inspection tools.

Detail-oriented and efficient; ability to multi-task.

Welding experience is desirable.

Ability to work under general supervision and follow instructions.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Excellent data entry skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
