MUST HAVE AIRCRAFT/AEROSPACE PAINTING EXPERIENCE
Job Summary:
The Painter is responsible for coating surface parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials such as primers, topcoats, and dry film lube using a spray gun. This position requires attention to detailed knowledge of painting techniques, and the ability to inspect and prepare parts for coating.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Select and mix coating materials according to specifications.
2. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning as required.
3. Apply paint (water-based and solvent-base primer, epoxy primer, topcoat, polyurethane, enamel, lacquer, and dry film lubricant) to parts as directed, ensuring even coverage and proper adhesion.
4. Visually inspect finished products for defects and adherence to quality standards.
5. Identify and troubleshooting problems with painting equipment. Repair and maintain paint gun to ensure proper functionality.
6. Complete all required paperwork accurately.
7. Assist management and department staff as needed.
8. Ability to communicate, read, and understand English.
