Insight Global is seeking Desktop Support Technician in the Avondale, LA area for a contract to hire opportunity. This resource will be joining the IT team for an onsite role. You will be responsible for handling tickets that come through on local Active Directory to support multiple IT issues. This resource needs to have a proactive approach to handling tickets, will need to call people, walk to their office, or site and troubleshoot in person. Other responsibilities will include troubleshooting basic monitors, printers, password resets, connectivity issues, software and hardware updates. This will be a Tier 1-2 level helpdesk position! There will be project based work that will be required for your IT support.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of technical support experience (helpdesk, desktop support) Extensive IT troubleshooting experience Comfortable working on site, hands-on not afraid to get your hands dirty (environment is a shipping terminal) Active Directory or Atlassian Jira ticketing system experience Great interpersonal communication, calling people, talking to people in person
