Job Title: Press Operator

Job Description

As a Press Operator, you will lead the operation of press lines, including changeovers, machine start-up, running, and shut-down. You will support operations in achieving World Class standards, focusing on safety, and ensuring all jobs align with customer specifications and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of press line operation, including changeovers, machine start-up, running, and shut-down.

Ensure all jobs meet customer specifications, manufacturing specifications, and standard operating procedures.

Accurately complete all required paperwork, such as production reports, job verification sheets, ink usage sheets, QA reports, roll tickets, and S.O.C sheets.

Collaborate with and direct the press assistant and pit crew to minimize job change-over and downtime.

Train and direct the press assistant to efficiently perform all required duties as per the assistant training matrix.

Comply with all 5S and World Class Manufacturing initiatives.

Ensure adherence to product safety standards.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.Essential Skills

Capability to work 12-hour shifts and be on feet for the entirety of the shift

Competence to enter data into computer systems

Work Environment

The facility is clean and temperature controlled, specializing in printing on foil and packaging for pharmaceutical companies. Work involves handling large printing presses with both team and independent tasks. The schedule offers a 4-day work week, with 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Thursday. Candidates must be comfortable with an adhesive smell throughout the facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of SHELBYVILLE, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

Direct placement- benefits day 1

-Review every 60 days for chance at hourly increase

-Stipends and days off per company

This is a fully onsite position in Shelbyville,KY 40065.
