Job Description
The Electrical Engineer/Analyst will work directly alongside major clients as a
subject matter expert on power domain projects. Candidates must be able to advise clients on
grid analysis and topology, entitlements support, generation sourcing, commercial agreement
preparation, renewable energy source review, and technical support for utility purveyor
engagements. A Professional Engineer License is preferred, but not required based on previous
experience.
A successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical power delivery and a passion
for innovation. The candidate must possess strong organizational and communication skills
critical to working with diverse teams in a primarily remote work environment. This role involves
significant collaboration with client teams and offers considerable latitude for independent
judgment and action related to program objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Act as an engineering subject matter expert (SME), to support and communicate with
project and facility managers to identify issues and develop solutions.
• Perform or facilitate transmission planning studies and electric infrastructure design
strategies to align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with state and
federal policy requirements.
• Support client engagement with electric utilities on feasibility studies, power topology
design, and interconnection processes for either electric load or generation.
• Analyze operational scenarios in a simulated environment to identify potential challenges
and opportunities.
• Scope power delivery projects, prepare RFPs, develop rough order magnitude cost
estimates, support land and permit acquisitions, provide technical support for due
diligence evaluations, and otherwise support power engineering, procurement and
construction projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assemble and organize data and
analytics to support further development of SAAS tools owned or managed by INFRA.
• Support INFRA marketing efforts and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant
experience. Advanced degrees and Professional Engineering License preferred.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, GIS, PowerWorld Simulator,
ETAP-G or other Energy Management Systems, PLS-CADD).
• Ability to read construction documents, including drawings, specifications and RFPs
• Valid driver's license.
