Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual within the early childhood profession.
Qualifications:
An associate or baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or a related field of study approved by the Department and two years of supervised and documented relevant experience in a pre-school program if currently employed in a permitted child care program.
3K Lead Teacher Description
· Under the direction and supervision of the Educational Director, plan, implement and evaluate the curriculum in accordance with the purpose and philosophy of Young Risers Childhood Program.
· Take part as ‘Acting Director’ in the absence of the Educational Director.
· Set up and maintain an appropriate classroom environment (the third teacher) for younger children within the Reggio Approach
· Attempt to meet the needs of each child.
· Keep up-to-date developmental records of the children in the class.
· Report to parents about the children's progress
· Plan and lead two parent-teacher conferences during the school year.
· Provide written guidelines for substitute teachers.
· Give guidance and direction to teacher assistants and volunteers.
· Be aware of and comply with all personnel policies and NYCDOHMH Article 47.
· Attend staff meetings and functions of the Early Childhood Program.
· Take part in professional growth activities.
· Review and help carry out fire, tornado, and disaster drills.
· Fill out accident forms as needed and deliver them to the Ed. Director and parents to be signed and filed.
· Assist with sanitizing toys, cleaning of restrooms, tables, kitchen area, and the Preschool classroom area.
· Assist with the breakdown and set-up of the school room when needed.
· Supervise bathroom use and appropriate hand washing especially before consumption of food of all preschoolers.Company Description
