Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in collaboration with information systems managers.

Designs, creates, and maintains databases in a client/server environment.

Conducts quality control and auditing to ensure accurate and appropriate data use.

Advises users on access to various client/server databases. Technical Implementation

Designs and implements complex databases, considering:

Job Control Language (JCL)

Access methods

Access time

Device allocation

Validation checks

Organization, protection, and security

Documentation and statistical methods Programming and Support

Applies expertise in database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end/back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL).

Performs database programming and supports systems design.

Maintains database dictionaries and monitors standards, procedures, file design, storage, and system integration through database design. Experience

Five (5) years of progressive experience with database query languages, including:

Oracle

PL/SQL

SQL Server

MS Access

Three (3) years of hands-on experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), including:

Capability to work on various operating systems.

Proficiency in additional programming languages.

Participation in at least two projects in a large organization, responsible for:

Administering, operating, maintaining, and securing large-scale computer databases. Security Clearance

Must possess an IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 5 (T5).

Secret clearance is also required. Certification

DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II (e.g., certifications like CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, or equivalent). More details

The role requires strong technical expertise in database management, security, and system integration, with a focus on client/server environments.

The security clearance requirements (IT-I/Tier 5 and Secret) indicate a high level of sensitivity, likely for government or defense-related projects.
