Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Air Force (AF), or industry cybersecurity environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in system accreditation, compliance frameworks (such as NIST RMF), and a proactive approach to threat detection, risk analysis, and endpoint security.
Key Responsibilities:
System Accreditation & Compliance:
Lead and support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for system accreditation in accordance with DoD and NIST standards.
Conduct security control assessments, document results, and support the creation of System Security Plans (SSPs) and Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms).
Apply and interpret DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure system hardening and compliance.
Endpoint Security:
Manage and monitor endpoint protection tools and policies.
Detect, analyze, and respond to security events involving workstations, servers, and mobile devices.
Threat Hunting & Intrusion Detection:
Actively monitor, analyze, and investigate anomalous network traffic and potential threats using SIEMs and intrusion detection systems.
Perform proactive threat hunting activities and contribute to incident response efforts.
Risk Analysis:
Identify vulnerabilities and assess risks to information systems and networks.
Recommend risk mitigation strategies and support secure architecture design.
ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution):
Operate and maintain ACAS scanning tools.
Analyze vulnerability scan results and coordinate remediation with system owners and administrators.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant cybersecurity experience in AF, DoD, or industry roles.
Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST RMF, DISA STIGs, FISMA).
Hands-on experience with:
Endpoint Security platforms (e.g., EDR, antivirus)
ACAS or Tenable Nessus scanning tools
SIEM tools and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
Threat hunting and incident response methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as:
CISSP, CEH, Security+, CISM, or CISA
Experience with DoD networks, secure baselines, and operational technology (OT) environments.
Prior military experience, especially in the Air Force cybersecurity domain.Company Description
