The CNC Programmer/Machinist is responsible for developing CNC programs using Solidworks, Mastercam and CIMCO Edit to support Operations and Research & Development. This position is responsible for performing fabrication set-ups of all specialized tooling/equipment and process improvements including cycle time reductions and fixturing improvements to reduce set-up time.
Responsibilities:
Create all machining and inspection programs for R&D and production dimpled hobs for CNC equipment including wire and sinker EDM.
Create and enhance existing CNC programs for production parts, as well as ball mold cavities for CNC equipment such as milling machines and lathes.
Optimize CNC programs, machining processes, and fixtures to support precision manufacturing of parts with extremely tight tolerances.
Troubleshoot broken or malfunctioning machines and equipment.
Set up and operate CNC machines including CNC lathes, Twin Spindle lathes, and wire EDM. Select appropriate tooling and fixtures to support precision manufacturing.
Train machine operations to new associates. Support training development of associates on the operation of CNC equipment as required. Maintain operation of equipment and perform PMs as required.
Requirements:
Electrician License
MA 2nd Class Fireman License
Demonstrated mechanical skills techniques
Knowledge of HVAC
Class A or B CDL
MA Journeyman Electrician License
Knowledge of hydraulic and/or electrical schematics
Knowledge of plumbing and piping
Universal Refrigeration License
