The AGN Test Engineer will join the ARINC Global Network Engineering team within our Networks and Connectivity Engineering business unit. The ARINC GLOBAL Network (AGN) seamlessly unites the flow of data across the aircraft, airline and ground applications . The AGN system is comprised of several private data centers and connects to the far reaches of the globe, in almost every country providing aviation, airport, government, and transportation connectivity. AGN provides private networking in a highly reliable, secure and available world-wide network architecture for Collins Aerospace, CAS mission critical aviation, transportation, and airports customers.
In this role, you will primarily perform integration and system acceptance testing in the later phases of the systems development lifecycle and will also be involved in the up-front requirements and design phases. The system is very complex and is subject to continuous change as technologies and service offerings evolve. System components in the test environment include network and security infrastructure, network management applications, real-time capacity and performance monitoring applications, and a variety of simulation tools.
What You Will Do:
You will work onsite at our Annapolis, MD site.
You will perform test design including development of operational scenarios when reviewing technical requirements and design packages.
You will develop well-written system integration and acceptance test plans and procedures with clear objectives and traceability to requirements.
You will execute test plans, assesses test results against predefined criteria, and document test findings and artifacts with clear and detailed records.
You will integrate hardware and software components into the system test environment.
You will build and maintain the test environment laboratory, including test simulation and analysis tools.
You will perform verification of functional and performance requirements in a production-like test environment using a variety of simulation test tools.
You will perform validation of installation procedures and user documentation to ensure for a seamless integration into a high-availability system environment.
You will identify and report bugs and issues found during integration and test activities.
You will work closely with network engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing and integration of new technologies and solutions.
You will prepare well-written test reports for stakeholder review and participation in project closure activities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience in network engineering or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Must have prior experience with large scale Wide Area Network Infrastructure environments comprised of routers, switches, firewalls, security appliances and applications.
Must have experience with troubleshooting issues within infrastructure systems
Must have prior experience analyzing system documentation.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with network and applications management concepts
Experience with technologies and techniques in a large LAN/WAN environment (SNMP v1/v2/v3, polling/traps, Syslog and Netflow)
Active CCNA certification or equivalent advanced network certification highly preferred.
Experience working on multiple diverse projects simultaneously.
Prio experience with technical writing and working across engineering teams and external customers.

The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
