Primary Function:

The Process Engineer III performs vital functions in establishing and completing manufacturing plans to achieve the most efficient and high-quality products for our customers. A successful individual in this position will be a strong problem solver, be proactive, high energy, able to juggle many tasks at once, work with tight deadlines and be known for strong attention to detail.

The Process Engineer III will use SolidWorks to create prints from customer models, put together SOPs and router/work order instructions for Production, and provide support to the operations with a variety of tasks related to CNC Swiss machining working with tool manufacturers, utilization of software like Esprit.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Develop part modeling and process prints in SolidWorks for machining and finishing processes to ensure production quality.

Development and update of tool list for all new and repeat projects.

Document set-up processes for Swiss CNC machines

Provide support to the Quality Department in optimizing procedures and processes.

Assist other departments by providing ongoing technical support of projects including Sales, Production, Tooling, and Engineering.

Create Work Instructions based on documentation.

Utilize the ERP system (Global Shop experience a plus)

Assist in implementing continuous improvement projects

Other tasks/projects as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering field (Mechanical or Aerospace)

Minimum 3 years Proven Experience in CNC Swiss machining operations.

Familiarity with precision measurement tools and quality control standards.

Strong oral communication and writing skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Hands-on attitude, excited to be on the manufacturing floor

CAD experience. SolidWorks (preferred)

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ear protection may be required for certain processes. Closed-toed shoes and eye protection are required for all activity on the shop floor.
