Description:

Scrum Master / Senior Business Analyst

Team: Solution Design & Architecture

Location: Hybrid/Remote

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scrum Master / Senior Business Analyst to join our Solution Design & Architecture team. This hybrid role combines deep business analysis expertise (70%) with agile delivery leadership (30%). The ideal candidate will gather and translate complex business requirements into actionable deliverables while simultaneously leading offshore scrum teams in daily standups, sprint planning, and execution. You’ll work cross-functionally across enterprise initiatives involving Pricing (Rates & Forms), APIs, Web Portals, and Disbursement systems, ensuring alignment between business goals and development efforts.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with opportunities to grow into a formal leadership position within 12–18 months.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis (70%)

Collaborate with on-site business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document clear and actionable business and functional requirements.

Translate requirements into epics and user stories using JIRA and ensure they are well understood by technical teams.

Navigate and query SQL databases (Snowflake/Postgres) to validate data, support analysis, and inform business decisions.

Maintain detailed documentation using Confluence and SharePoint.

Ensure traceability of requirements through the full development lifecycle.

Scrum Leadership & Agile Delivery (30%)

Serve as Scrum Master for offshore delivery pods (India/Poland), facilitating daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

Act as the primary point of coordination between onshore and offshore teams, ensuring alignment and effective delivery.

Own and manage sprint velocity, backlog prioritization, and ensure sprint goals are achieved.

Foster an agile mindset and drive continuous improvement in scrum practices and team productivity.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5–12 years in a Business Analyst role, with 2+ years actively leading Scrum or Agile teams.

Agile Tools: Strong experience with JIRA for sprint management and backlog tracking.

SQL: Proficient in writing and understanding queries using Snowflake or Postgres; joins and data validation.

Excel: Comfortable using pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling.

Documentation: Skilled with Confluence and SharePoint for maintaining living documentation.

Scrum Leadership: Experience running daily standups and managing distributed scrum teams; Scrum Master certification a plus, but not required.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage expectations and navigate stakeholder dynamics with confidence.

Mindset: Highly independent, organized, and detail-oriented; thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.

Familiarity with the automotive or insurance industries.

MBA or business-focused undergraduate degree, especially for candidates seeking leadership progression.
