JOB TITLE: Chief Engineer

SHIFT: Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM

PAY RANGE: $75,000 - $105,000 based on experience and 3D programming knowledge

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of Technical School Certification in drafting or design

Fluent in 3D CAD programming (Preferably SolidWorks)

Experience with MS Office products specifically Outlook and Excel

Good Technical, organizational and communication skills to develop clear concise drawings for customers and shop

College level education or job experience in CAD and/or related software

Ability and willingness to learn new software

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chief Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design and draft steel components, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role involves critical tasks in drafting, data management, and managing CNC operations.

Essential Job Functions:

Draft all racks in 3D CAD based on customer requirements

Draft all material to be cut on tube laser and beamline and run through appropriate machine specific software

Supply shop drawings with quality control notes for finished products

Convert customer pdf drawings into stp files for machines

Data entry of sizes, lengths and quantities into nesting software

Takeoffs of customer provided drawings and entry into quoting software

Transferring drawings and sketches from PDF’s to CAD, SolidWorks etc.

Output files from applicable programs to CNC saws, plasma and lasers
