Position Title: Accounting and Financial Analysis Associate
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department/Program: Finance and Accounting
Reports To: Accounting Manager
Supervisory Responsibility: n/a
Pay Range: $70K - $90K Based on experience, education and qualifications.
Primary Purpose: To support the accounting and financial analysis for the Roman Catholic Diocese of
Orange.
Summary:
The Financial Analyst and Accountant is a key member of the organization who will assist the Accounting
Manager maintain accurate and timely records in our accounting system, NetSuite, and provide insightful
financial analysis and reporting. The candidate will assist in the preparation of monthly financials
statements in accordance with GAAP as well as various management reports. We are a highly motivated,

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists the Accounting Manager with the following:
• Prepare supporting documents and templates for JE upload to NetSuite.
• Enhance and streamline financial reports and processes in NetSuite and Excel.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and prepare related
variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Provide year-end financial audit support.
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis and executive presentations in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Other responsibilities and projects assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business/Economics with emphasis or option in Accounting.
• CPA certificate or passed sections of exams highly desirable.
• Proficient in NetSuite or equivalent.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills performing financial and data analysis.
• Ability to convey complex information effectively in an organized and succinct manner through
charts, written narratives, and oral communication.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Accurate, detail oriented, and quick learner.
• Self-starter and proactive.
• Ability to work and respond with positive attitude under pressure.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Strict standard of confidentiality and ethics.
• Alignment with the mission of the Catholic Church.
PREFERRED:
• Church or non-profit experience.
• Practicing Roman Catholic.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• To perform duties of the job, the employee may regularly be required to stand, sit, talk,
hear/listen, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and
other office equipment. Close vision requirements apply due to the nature of computer work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Typical Working Conditions: Office environment. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of
work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and
weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Equipment Used: Basic computer equipment, keyboard, mouse, telephone, copier,
facsimile, calculator and paper shredder.
Essential Physical Tasks: Verbal communication, movement around the office, remaining
stationary, reaching, and occasionally carrying materials as needed weighing up to 30 lbs
