The Job: Manufacturing Engineer (entry level)
The Manufacturing Engineer provides a range of expertise in supporting and improving the manufacturing capabilities to produce products. They contribute to improving a range of fabrication processes that can directly impact the sustaining and growth efforts of operations and participate in the introduction of new products to the manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for technical aspects of the manufacturing process. As a member of our growing engineering team, you will play a key role in supporting production equipment and integrating advanced automation technologies, this is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to our customer’s process and business.
Preferred Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering preferred.
Generally, it requires minimal to no prior relevant work experience
Experience with programming through coursework, projects, or internships.
Logical problem solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
Interest in auto mechanics, robotics, mathematics, blueprint reading, computers, metalworking, and drafting are a major plus.
· Self-motivated individual and able to work autonomously.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing processes.
Responsible for customizing programs for the customer's specific automated process.
Training customer personnel on the newly installed equipment.
Ability to work independently on technical projects and troubleshoot complex systems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, staff and customers’ employees.
Analyze equipment failures and troubleshooting to identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions.
Support continuous improvement efforts by applying statistical tools, data analysis, and digital technologies to optimize manufacturing processes
Excellent ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving
An ability to explain a range of complex technical information to customers so they understand how to operate new equipment.
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs and automated systems to ensure optimal performance and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner
Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents
Travel and install equipment on CNC machines
Travel and handle service calls to troubleshoot and fix customers’ issues with the equipment on their machines.
Perform field service calls and also help customer’s remotely.
Write custom programs for our customers to improve their process or set up a new process.
Create and design specific in-house projects for management
Research and design for new automation and streamline processes.

Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds

Regional travel required 80% of the time. (i.e.: CA, WA, UT, NV, ID, OR, AZ, CO) When not traveling you will be required to work from our facilities in Simi Valley and Filmore.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.

Additional Details
The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $69,000.00 - $100,000.00/yr with eligibility bonus and benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training
