DSJ Global is currently partnering with a leading food production company on their facility expansion and are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled engineering professional to oversee the performance and reliability of their world-class food production equipment! This role requires a dynamic individual capable of balancing immediate production line needs with long-term engineering initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food manufacturing processes, equipment design, and reliability engineering. A key responsibility will be identifying and resolving sources of downtime, implementing preventative measures, and driving continuous improvement across production lines.

Success in this role demands excellent troubleshooting abilities, effective communication of technical concepts, and a collaborative mindset. The candidate must be adept at working cross-functionally and building strong partnerships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

Drive improvements in efficiency, safety, and product quality across assigned production lines.

Design and implement reliable engineering solutions, either in-house or in collaboration with third-party partners, to meet business needs.

Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical support for production line maintenance and performance issues.

Act as the subject matter expert on production equipment and manufacturing processes.

Serve as a technical authority for resolving complex equipment and manufacturing challenges.

Focus on maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by identifying and addressing performance gaps.

Lead initiatives to reduce or eliminate downtime, implementing targeted process and equipment changes.

Collaborate with maintenance, automation, and operations teams to develop and promote best practices, training programs, and improvement projects.

Continuously research and share industry best practices with operations and peer groups.

Maintain and organize a comprehensive documentation library, including drawings, manuals, and standards.

Develop and update documentation to support process changes, such as process descriptions, scopes, and technical drawings.

Evaluate and provide feedback on proposed process changes, design submittals, and engineering concepts.

Conduct engineering research, prepare technical studies, and lead production trials to validate new ideas and improvements.

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering is required.

Experience working in field of food manufacturing, packaging, or blow molding is strongly preferred.

Ability work effectively with team members at all levels. Must be a strong communicator and effective at working in teams.

Ability to maintain multiple projects at any given time.

3-5 years of experience working in reliability or maintenance or as an equipment engineer.

Knowledge of HACCP and food safety is preferred.

Green belt / lean training preferred.
