Title: Program Scheduler
Location: Juno Beach or Miami, FL (onsite)
Position Type: Contract (12-18+ months) - through 2027
NOTE: this is a direct-contract position with one of our direct clients (Fortune 500 company) that will be reporting director to the IT Director of Strategic Initiatives
INTAKE NOTES:
Reports to IT Director supporting a 5-year technology transformation program
Team is shifting toward Agile adoption and a product team structure
Increased visibility and scrutiny on the team – historically focused on “keeping the lights on”
Now expected to deliver value in sprints, not just maintain systems
Emphasis on driving enhancements and continuous improvement
In summary, the role is responsible for ensuring that the project stays on track; will collaborate with the team to meet deadlines by effectively managing and coordinating all time-related aspects of the project.
REQUIREMENTS
Large technology projects (preferred)
PM Tools: deep knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Utility experience (bonus)
Developing Project Timelines: Creating detailed project schedules that outline the phases, tasks, and milestones necessary to complete a project successfully.
Resource Allocation: Ensuring that resources such as personnel are allocated efficiently and effectively across project tasks and phases.
Monitoring Progress: Tracking the progress of the project against the established schedule, identifying potential delays or bottlenecks, and adjusting the schedule as necessary to stay on track.
Collaboration: Working closely with team members, and stakeholders to gather information, communicate updates, and ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables.
Risk Management: Identifying potential risks that could impact the project schedule and developing contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
Reporting: Generating and presenting reports on project status, including schedule adherence, progress towards milestones, and any deviations from the plan.
Using Scheduling Tools: Utilizing project management and scheduling software to develop, maintain, and update project schedules.
