Aircraft Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive systems engineering and integration to include systems design and integration, manufacturability, quality, airworthiness, and configuration & data management.
Support the overall systems design and development of an aviation solution that encompasses avionics, electrical, mechanical, and mission specific systems to meet a customer’s requirements.
You would lead our specific teams in avionics, electrical, and mechanical systems in the design, development, integration, installation, and required design changes to various military and commercial aircraft to meet mission requirements.
Required Qualifications
8+ years military experience, trained in aviation systems engineering OR Bachelor’s degree in Aviation related Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aeronautics
Travel up to 25% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations (Alaska, Hawaii, UK and EUROPE)
Must be able to work outside and on top of aircraft. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be proficient with hand tools. Must be able to receive and maintain a security clearance. Have a valid, US Passport
Preferred Qualifications
Systems Engineering and design, in both Military and Civil aviation
Knowledge and actual Participation in FAA STC Approval process; military Airworthiness process
Experience with government regulations (FAA & military)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and test instrumentation
Experience in using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other analysis tools
