Position: Sr. Building Automation Engineer

Location: Sterling, VA

Salary Range: $100-130k/yr

Job Description:

One of Insight Global's Construction Engineering clients is looking for a Sr. Building Automation Engineer. The role involves leading on-site efforts for the design, installation, and implementation of Building Automation Systems (BAS) in both retrofit and new construction projects. The position requires a blend of office-based programming (60%) and on-site work (40%), focusing on complex software integration, custom programming, and system testing. Responsibilities include creating and redlining technical documents, developing graphics and databases, and ensuring systems align with project specifications. Additionally, the role includes mentoring technical staff and ensuring high-quality support for newly installed systems.

Looking for:

7+ years’ of technical hands on experience in construction systems programming and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems (DDC)

Delta and Distech controls systems knowledge required

Specific experience with Tridium Niagara PLC's

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Advanced knowledge of computers and MS Suite software products, specifically Excel

AutoCAD and/or drafting experience.

Extensive knowledge of project accounting, costing principals and contracting
