Electrical Design Engineer

Role: Electrical Design Engineer (No OPT, H1B, or other Visas will be considered)

Location: Sarasota, FL (Relocation Available)

Travel: 25%

Position Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Electrical Engineer to manage the design and implementation of electrical systems for automated machinery. This role involves creating schematics, selecting hardware, supporting system integration, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver turnkey solutions.

Primary Duties

Develop control panel layouts and electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical

Oversee electrical engineering tasks from initial concept through equipment deployment

Identify, evaluate, and source components while working closely with external suppliers

Provide on-site startup support and resolve electrical issues during system commissioning

Prepare and update technical documents, including diagrams, manuals, and procedures

Coordinate with mechanical, software, and controls engineers throughout the project

Establish and maintain internal electrical design standards and procedure

Travel: Up to 25

Required & Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred

Solid grasp of PLC architecture and industrial communication networks (e.g., EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, ProfiNet)

Experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs is beneficial

Exposure to industrial robotics such as FANUC or ABB is a plus

Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software preferred

Practical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic component

Strong interpersonal and communication skill

Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in team-based environment
