Primary Services is excited to announce the role of IT Asset Coordinator for our client, a major player in the energy sector. In this position, you will manage and maintain the company’s inventory of IT equipment, ensuring accuracy, security, and operational readiness. This is a hands-on role perfect for individuals who enjoy staying organized, working with hardware, and supporting technology teams.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and document incoming IT assets including laptops, monitors, and peripherals.

Maintain accurate asset records using inventory tracking systems.

Organize and manage the IT stockroom with clear labeling and proper storage practices.

Stage and prepare IT hardware for deployment to new hires and current users.

Process equipment returns, coordinate warranty replacements, and manage asset retirements.

Support inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between records and physical stock.

Fulfill hardware requests and coordinate deployments with IT staff.

Track hardware lifecycle stages and flag equipment due for replacement.

Ensure proper recycling or disposal of obsolete equipment in line with company policy.

Follow all compliance, security, and licensing guidelines related to IT assets.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or certification in IT or inventory management preferred.

1–2 years of experience in IT asset coordination, inventory control, or similar roles.

Familiarity with common IT hardware such as laptops, desktops, monitors, and accessories.

Proficiency with inventory tools like ServiceNow, Excel, or asset management platforms.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs as needed.

Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

Comfortable working independently and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of ITIL processes or asset lifecycle practices is a plus.

Experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics preferred.
