Mainframe Programmer

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Mainframe Programmer to join their team! This position is located in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Duties:

Split time between developing new functionality to support ICS testing environments and providing production support for jobs running in IT, UAT, and AAE environments

Ensure stability and performance of critical batch and real-time processes across multiple environments

Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining continuous delivery and support standards

Desired Skills/Experience:

Expertise in RPG400, RPG III, COBOL, or SYNON within an AS/400 environment, or proficiency in COBOL or C on mid-range platforms such as DEC VAX or HP3000

Experience working as an AS/400 Programmer, VAX Programmer, or HP Programmer

Proven ability to perform all or part of the full software development life cycle, with a focus on developing and maintaining business applications

Skilled in supporting, modifying, and enhancing existing applications to meet evolving business needs

Experience with high-volume and large-scale batch or online processing environments

The approximate pay range for this position is between $36.00 and $52.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
