Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Mid to Senior-Level Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil construction with an emphasis on underground utility installation for private works. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full project lifecycle for multiple utility installation projects (water, sewer, storm drain).
Coordinate with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and inspectors to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, and forecasts.
Conduct job site visits and monitor field activities for compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards.
Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and labor resources.
Prepare and review submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
Lead project meetings and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in project management within the civil construction or underground utilities sector.
Proven track record managing water, sewer, and storm drain projects, particularly for private developers.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs, permitting processes, and local municipal standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar) and MS Office Suite.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
