We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in troubleshooting and resolving malfunctions in machine control systems. The ideal candidate will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency and addressing quality concerns. Experience with Siemens PLCs is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in machine control systems
Provide recommendations for improving operational efficiency and product quality
Develop, modify, and maintain PLC and/or HMI applications and embedded control systems
Participate in the setup and commissioning of new systems and upgrades to existing systems
Apply knowledge of AC/DC circuitry and fundamental electrical concepts
Work with ladder logic and a variety of PLC programming languages
Utilize working knowledge of field control devices (motors, relays, switches, sensors, etc.)
Design, develop, and enhance instrumentation and control systems
Create and interpret electrical schematics using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering within a manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with operators, technicians, and management
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong sense of urgency and ownership when operating under time constraints
Preferred:
PMP Certification
Prior experience in the wire and cable manufacturing industry
Knowledge of power distribution systems, industrial networks, PLCs, HMIs, and drive systems
Proficiency in reading and creating schematic drawings using AutoCAD
Experience in full-cycle electrical control system hardware design, including control panel and field wiring
Competency in Electrical CAD software
