Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours, on-call and travel required
Basic Function:
The Imaging Service Engineer assists in the operation, support and repair of clinical imaging equipment, and supports the Clinical Technology Program.
Qualifications:
Required: The Imaging Service Engineer will possess a good understanding of health care practices, the use of radiation-producing technology in the hospital setting, radiological equipment operation and safety. Has considerable knowledge of the latest and most advanced troubleshooting, calibration and repair techniques. Has considerable knowledge of electronics, including solid state technology and both linear and digital circuit operations. AAS graduate in Electronics Technology or equivalent. Minimum of five years experience in the maintenance of radiological devices.
Preferred: Seven to ten years experience in a health care environment. Certification eligible. Considerable knowledge of a broad range of imaging equipment. Possess a working knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, ACR, JCAHO, MSQA, OSHA and NFPA regulations, standards and guidelines. Demonstrate high proficiency in at least one equipment modality (i.e. Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and Cath Lab).
