Senior Metallurgist (Aerospace)

We are representing a globally recognized FORTUNE 500 manufacturing organization actively seeking a Lead/Senior level Plant Metallurgical Engineer/Metallurgist at their flagship production operation due to their continued expansion. Reporting to the Site Technical Director, this position will be responsible for ensuring produced products’ adherence to customer requirements and quality standards. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.

Due to the work our client does with the US Dept of Defense and security clearances necessary, candidates must be US Citizens or US GREEN CARD HOLDERS (US Permanent Residents)

POSITION OVERVIEW

Ensure metallurgical products are produced within defined processes and customer specifications/requirements.

Contribute to new product/process introductions.

Compile and analyze manufacturing data to define and track process capabilities.

Work directly with customers to ensure alignment on requirements and to address technical questions/issues.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior metallurgists/engineers.

This is a Plant Engineering based position (not R&D focused)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in technical field (metallurgical engineering, material science, chemistry, etc.) required.

5+ years of engineering experience within metallurgical manufacturing environment(s).

Strong analytical skills and familiarity with statistical techniques/tools (Minitab, etc.).

Strong communication skills (customer/internal).
