The Tech Lead, Software Development will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, and optimization of software applications that support Internet of Things (IoT) devices and services. This role will involve working across multiple platforms—including embedded devices, mobile, web, and cloud—to support the development of high-performance, scalable IoT solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Go, experience working with AWS cloud services, and a solid understanding of IoT architectures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze and debug complex issues in distributed IoT systems.
Conduct performance profiling and code reviews for applications developed in Java and Go.
Refactor and redesign core application modules for scalability, efficiency, and resilience.
Develop and optimize device-to-cloud communication frameworks.
Implement edge computing solutions to reduce latency and enhance real-time processing.
Manage and configure AWS cloud services, including IoT Core, Lambda, S3, RDS, and IAM.
Improve device telemetry management and support secure data transmission.
Collaborate with software, hardware, and DevOps teams to support end-to-end system performance.
Ensure system reliability, scalability, and high availability.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development using Java and Go.
At least 3 years of experience debugging and optimizing IoT performance across distributed systems.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS services (IoT Core, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM).
2 years of experience working with SQL databases, including query performance tuning.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
Proven ability to work in cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with edge computing frameworks or real-time processing systems.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Background in embedded systems or hardware integration is a plus.
