Vice President of Finance (CFO)
Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Finance (CFO) (title commensurate with experience) to join their Executive Leadership Team. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the organization and driving long-term growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. The role will oversee Finance and Accounting operations across the U.S. and Mexico, providing key insights and recommendations to the CEO and other senior leaders.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial leadership within the apparel manufacturing or related sectors, a proven track record of scaling operations, and deep experience managing investor relationships and implementing robust financial systems.
About You
10+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Experience in private equity-backed environments, manufacturing, or apparel sectors is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success in scaling a business to $100M+ in revenue.
Advanced skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and long-term planning.
Strong investor relations experience, with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively.
Proficient in ERP systems, financial software, and analytics platforms.
Deep understanding of GAAP, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills in dynamic environments.
CPA and/or MBA preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and lead financial strategies aligned with overall business goals.
Guide annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning processes.
Advise executive leadership on optimizing revenue, profitability, and resource allocation.
Analyze market and financial trends to inform strategic decisions.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and other standards.
Oversee audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.
Coordinate with legal and external advisors on compliance matters.
Cost & Risk Management
Lead cost-reduction and operational efficiency initiatives.
Identify and manage financial and operational risks.
Partner with operations and supply chain to improve cost structures.
Oversee enterprise risk management, including insurance and hedging strategies.
Capital Management & Investor Relations
Manage capital structure, cash flow, and liquidity.
Lead relationships with banks, investors, and private equity stakeholders.
Conduct financial due diligence for potential M&A and strategic investments.
Ensure transparency and confidence in financial reporting for external partners.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and develop the Finance and Accounting teams.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.
Implement best-in-class practices and systems across the finance function.
Invest in the growth and professional development of team members.
