Responsibilities

Lead the procurement activities for new product introductions, ensuring alignment with commodity strategies and program objectives.

Identify and select suppliers globally by reading technical documents including drawings, in order to process RFQ's for raw materials and (OSP) Outside Service Providers in support of negotiating contracts and placing purchase orders for materials required for new product launches.

Work closely with engineering teams to understand new product requirements, specifications, and tolerances, ensuring the procured materials meet the necessary standards.

Managing the flow of materials to support prototype builds, pilot production, and full-scale launch, collaborating with engineering, planning, procurement, and manufacturing teams to meet project timelines, and manage capacity, lead time and quality requirements of suppliers for NPI.

Attend Program Meetings including phase gate reviews and approvals as needed.

Responsible for tracking key metrics and monitoring supplier milestones critical to meeting program objectives, reviewing performance against cost targets, and proactively communicating any potential impacts.

Identify supplier risks and develop corrective action plans to address any issues that could affect program success.

Provide regular report out to Commodity Managers, Engineering Leaders and Sales on the program status related to material, OSP, capacity and schedule (Cost and Delivery).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain, engineering or equivalent.

7-10 years of supplier relationship management experience and sourcing and negotiations experience supporting programs with new product introductions in aerospace.

Technical aptitude with ability to understand complex manufacturing aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards is essential.

Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure favorable terms, prices and establish NDA's (Non-Disclosure Agreements).

Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects across diverse product lines.

Ability to work in a dynamic team environment within a fast-paced organization.

Strong problem-solving ability.

Effective at identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.

Demonstrates strong ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization or data exists.

Able to interface well with all departments within the company.

Must be a team player.

Effective at planning/organizing prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.

Manages competing demands. Deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay range and compensation package
