Dumpsters.com, an innovative waste management company based in Westlake, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Digital Marketing Intern in the Cleveland area with a detail-oriented mindset and a positive attitude to contribute in a meaningful way to meeting our company goals.
During the summer program, the Digital Marketing Intern is tasked with pulling data for reports, tracking and categorizing organic mentions of our brand, assisting with website updates and other activities that directly support the Digital Marketing team. These activities both expose the Digital Marketing Intern to critical marketing strategy components and provide the context for applying them.
The ideal candidate will be in the final semester of their Senior year or a recent graduate from an undergraduate program at an accredited four-year college or university. The degree program should align to a related field such as Business, Advertising, Marketing or Communications. This person will have experience learning complicated concepts quickly, taking direction in a team-based environment to achieve a goal, and executing detail-oriented tasks well. This position reports directly to the Senior SEO Specialist and will work with a team of marketers, developers and creatives to tackle important tasks. Top- performing interns may be considered for full-time opportunities following the internship.
The Digital Marketing Intern will be paid an hourly wage commensurate with experience.
This position is based in Westlake, OH, and requires on-site presence with hybrid flexibility.
Duties/Responsibilities
Learn to use industry-standard tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search
Console, Yext, Semrush and STAT Analytics along with proprietary platforms to pull data for weekly reports
Publishes high-value web content through a proprietary content management system (CMS) designed to win the trust of Large Language Models (LLMs) like those that power Google’s AI Overviews, Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, etc.
Tracks and categorizes organic mentions of the brand in an AI-based training tool
Learns and implements best practices for creating and strengthening entities in AI knowledge graphs.
Runs pagespeed tests to evaluate the impact of various optimizations
Executes regular technical updates on the website to maintain peak performance
Analyzes competitors to identify opportunities to improve site performance

Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred (for example: business, advertising, marketing or communications)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint and the Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets and Slides)
Work experience related to business and marketing is a plus background in HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a plus
Exhibit excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Effectively multi-task on several concurrent projects
Function at a high level in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to draw conclusions and take appropriate action
Accept constructive feedback and act on it, learning from mistakes and applying lessons to future assignments
Execute assignments accurately and on time
Practice effective listening skills, with the ability to apply what's learned towards continual self-improvement
Maintains a positive attitude and remains flexible in times of volatility and change
Strong writing aptitude across a variety of tones and formats is a plus
