The Opportunity

The YouTube/UGC Account Manager will establish best practices, streamline platform fluency for our labels, and support strategic initiatives that enhance content performance and rights management across YouTube, TikTok, and Meta. They will play a pivotal role in optimizing revenue streams, securing editorial coverage, and developing growth strategies tailored to each platform. Additionally, they will monitor performance analytics, provide data-driven recommendations, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure Redeye remains a top-tier partner within YouTube’s “Pillar”-based system.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Platform Strategy & Management

Oversee and optimize Redeye’s business with YouTube, TikTok, and Meta (Facebook & Instagram) to maximize monetization, audience growth, and engagement for distributed artists and labels.

Develop and implement best practices for content strategy, metadata optimization, and platform-specific promotional tactics.

Maintain and enhance Redeye’s standing within YouTube’s “Pillar”-based system, ensuring access to preferred deal economics and exclusive product features.

Act as a subject matter expert on platform algorithms, content ID policies, and emerging digital trends to educate internal teams and clients.

Monetization & Revenue Optimization

Manage rights administration and content monetization strategies across YouTube, TikTok, and Meta.

Ensure proper product setup and maximized revenue collection through YouTube Content ID, TikTok’s Sound Library, Meta Rights Manager, and other relevant monetization tools.

Track monetization performance, analyzing revenue trends and making data-driven recommendations to improve financial outcomes for labels and artists.

Artist & Label Support

Serve as the primary point of contact for labels and artists regarding their content strategy and monetization on YouTube, TikTok, and Meta.

Work closely with priority labels to develop and execute customized YouTube growth strategies, including release rollouts, audience development, and content series planning.

Educate labels and Redeye teams on UGC strategies, platform-specific best practices, and engagement tactics to boost organic discovery.

Editorial & Marketing Collaboration

Secure editorial support and promotional placements on YouTube for priority releases.

Partner with internal sales and marketing teams to align social platform strategies with broader release campaigns.

Monitor platform trends and develop innovative marketing activations to enhance artist visibility.

Operations & Rights Management

Oversee rights administration processes, ensuring Redeye’s distributed content is properly claimed, protected, and monetized across platforms.

Work with internal operations teams to troubleshoot content ID conflicts, metadata discrepancies, and platform-related issues.

Stay up-to-date with platform policy changes, ensuring Redeye’s compliance with YouTube, TikTok, and Meta’s evolving guidelines.

Other responsibilities

Represent Redeye at industry events, functions, artist shows and meet ups

Periodic travel as deemed necessary by Head of Catalog Development or other leadership.

Required Skills/Abilities:

In-depth knowledge of YouTube Content ID, TikTok music monetization, and Meta Rights Manager, including policies and best practices.

Experience with digital rights management (DRM) and revenue optimization across UGC and video platforms.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret platform insights, revenue reports, and engagement metrics to inform strategy.

Proven track record of managing relationships with DSPs, artists, labels, and platform partners to drive business success.

Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (sales, marketing, operations) and external partners.

Familiarity with SEO, metadata optimization, and audience development strategies for YouTube and social platforms.

Knowledge of emerging trends in music consumption, UGC content, and platform algorithm updates.

Education and Experience:

2-5 years of experience in digital music distribution, content strategy, or social media platform management within the music industry.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Position Location:

United States: Remote, travel required at least once a year, 10% travel

Status/Hours:

Full time, Exempt, Traditional business hours

Compensation

A competitive salary, incentive and benefits package will be offered, commensurate with the role and the relevant experience of the final hire. A base salary commensurate with relevant skills, experience, relationships and education is anticipated at an annual rate in the range of $65K - $80K.
