Senior QA Specialist (Credit Cart Authorizations)

Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid, 3 Days on-site)

Pay: $45-55/hr W2 ONLY, NO C2C

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior QA Specialist with 3–5 years of hands-on software testing experience, particularly within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credit card authorization testing, functional testing methodologies, and experience in test case development and execution. This role demands a detail-oriented professional who can ensure quality across all phases of testing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform functional and validation testing for financial applications, focusing on credit card authorization systems

Design, develop, and maintain test cases, ensuring full coverage of business and technical requirements

Execute manual test cases and document results in a clear and organized manner

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts

Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through to resolution

Contribute to quality assurance documentation, including test plans, test reports, and user guides

Required Qualifications:

3–5 years of QA/testing experience in software or systems development

Experience in financial services, with emphasis on credit card processing or authorization testing

Splunk

Strong background in functional testing, validation, and test case execution

Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail

Strong analytical and communication skills

Nice to Have:

Experience with Cucumber or other BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) frameworks

Exposure to automation tools or scripting is a plus
