BI/Data Architect

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Burn Boot Camp is seeking a highly motivated and experienced BI/Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining insightful dashboards and reports using Domo, conducting in-depth data analysis, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills, experience with cloud data warehousing (Snowflake preferred), and a passion for turning data into actionable insights for a fitness brand focused on analysis of:
Marketing performance, Lead analysis, and Digital engagement for our in-gym, on-demand, and retail businesses
Operational reporting and dashboards for Franchise partners and Leadership driving curiosity and insight towards business trends and opportunities
Financial dashboards to aid with the FP&A team optimized, effiecient and on-time reporting of financial performance for our business
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Domo Dashboard Development and Maintenance:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Domo to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide business insights.
Optimize Domo dashboards for performance, usability, and data accuracy.
Collaborate with stakeholders in Operations, Finance, and Marketing to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective Domo solutions.
Implement best practices for data visualization and dashboard design within the Domo environment.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement across various business areas (e.g., membership, marketing, operations).
Prepare and present reports, presentations, and data visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Develop and maintain regular reporting processes to monitor business performance and track progress against goals.
Provide ad-hoc data analysis and support to address specific business questions and initiatives.
SQL and Snowflake Expertise:
Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, including our Snowflake data warehouse.
Optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
Develop and maintain data models within Snowflake to support reporting and analysis needs.
Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing procedures.
Data Management and Governance:
Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability.
Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
Maintain documentation of data sources, data models, and reporting processes.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Operations, Finance) to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
Collaborate with Data Architect and outsourced data engineering team on all changes and updates to data models, schemas, and dashboards.
Communicate data insights and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Participate in meetings and presentations to share findings and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field – or equivalent experience
Proven experience as a Data or Business Intelligence Manager or Architect or similar role, with expertise in managing data platforms such as Snowflake.
Strong proficiency in data visualization tools like Domo with experience in creating dashboards and reports.
Experience in designing and implementing data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL processes.
Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into data solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Prior experience in the fitness or wellness industry is a plus but not required.
