Responsibilities:
Analyze current scrap problems/manufacturing defects in order to develop potential solutions and control manufacturing cost.
Provide technical insight regarding financial situations such as inventory, manufacturing costs, and capital investments to ensure reliability of the financial information.
Participate in capital investment projects such as installation of new equipment/processes for new model development to improve production and apply engineering specifications to meet production needs.
Evaluate and implement new technologies, which may solve ongoing problems, more effectively reduce cost, increase productivity, or provide a superior product.
Evaluate current manufacturing performance based on current technology to ensure that the proper technology is being utilized to ensure profitability and quality.
Provide technical support to production, process, and maintenance groups to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
Participate and improve new model development in regard to start-up, design of tooling, process development, process simulations, robot programming and process confirmation in order to create a competitive advantage.
Address other issues and/or assume other responsibilities as opportunities arise.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree Plastics / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering
1 to 2 years injection molding technical support experience
