Director of Accounting $125,000 - $150,000 + Bonus & Benefits
An established and growing organization is seeking a strategic Director of Accounting to lead its accounting operations and drive financial insights across the business. This high-impact role reports directly to the CEO and will oversee financial reporting, operational finance, insurance coordination, and team development—while playing a key role in supporting growth through data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead core accounting operations including financial reporting, budgeting, monthly close, and GAAP compliance
Build and maintain dynamic financial dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to support strategic initiatives across marketing and operations
Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and cash flow management to ensure strong financial controls and operational efficiency
Act as the primary contact for external insurance brokers; manage corporate and franchise-level insurance compliance and claims
Liaise with the PEO on HR-related processes such as onboarding, benefits, and employment compliance
Drive insights through ad hoc analysis to support leadership with key decisions
Supervise and develop a small team while ensuring timely completion of all accounting tasks
Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audits and property reconciliations
Support franchise accounting by ensuring timely financial submissions and contributing data to the FDD renewal process
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibility
Experience managing accounting functions including month-end close, budgeting, and compliance
Strong technical and analytical skills; Power BI or other dashboard/reporting tools experience preferred
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and executive leadership
Familiarity with insurance oversight, property management, and franchise operations a plus
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
