Job Description

CONTROLS ENGINEER - DETROIT, MI

I/O, Ethernet, ControlNet/DeviceNet HIGHLY PREFERRED ***

Siemens, Allen Bradley PLC Troubleshooting

Responsibilities

Design and develop control systems for mechanical and electrical applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.

Utilize software tools such as MicroStation, Simulink, and CAD for system design and modeling.

Conduct debugging and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure functionality.

Implement SystemVerilog for hardware description and simulation.

Maintain documentation of system designs, processes, and modifications.

Perform testing and validation of control systems to meet project standards.

Provide technical support during the implementation phase and assist in training personnel on new systems.

Requirements

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems design.

Proficiency in programming languages including Python and C++.

Familiarity with software tools such as MicroStation, Simulink, CAD, and SystemVerilog.

Excellent debugging skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
