Electrical Engineer – Power Plant

Location: Byron, IL. 61010

Duration: 18 months with possible extension to 2028.

w2 rate: 50-55/hr.

Per Diem: 2025 per diem rate for Byron, IL, is $178 per day, which includes $110 for lodging and $68 for meals and incidental expenses (M&IE).

Requirements/Duties/Job Description:

Prefer 4 years of experience or more (negotiable).

B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.

Experience in Design Engineering required.

Experience in Electrical engineering for industrial plant systems design, power plant engineering analysis, ETAP or EMTP power systems modeling.

Provided designs for Nuclear Reactor Neutron Monitoring Equipment (PRNMs).

Implementation of Measurement Uncertainty Recapture Projects (MUR).

Implementation of Extended or Stretch Type Power Uprates (EPU or SPU).

Implementation of Turbine Replacement Projects (Turbine Retrofits).

Implementation of Nuclear Main Generator Rewind or Replacement Projects.

Authoring/developing design change packages in accordance with IP-ENG-001 industry design process.

Provide design engineering support for nuclear power plant refueling outages.

Designing major industrial component upgrades within industrial plants.
