Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed within financial constraints. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management and the ability to negotiate contracts effectively. The Project Estimator will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver precise estimates that align with project goals.

Duties

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive project estimates.

Utilize estimating software such as PlanSwift to generate accurate cost projections.

Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines for construction projects.

Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.

Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.

Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary based on changes in scope or unforeseen circumstances.

Prepare detailed reports on estimated versus actual costs for review by management.

Skills

Proficiency in construction estimating software, particularly PlanSwift or equivalent

Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and technical drawings.

Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from vendors and subcontractors.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in calculations and reporting.

Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.Company Description
