Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the movement of goods and materials, ensuring efficient loading and unloading operations for all incoming and outgoing transportation. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of finished products and guiding freight vehicles to designated locations with a strong emphasis on safety.
, Responsibilities
Oversee and verify the picking and staging of loads, ensuring accurate locations and readiness for shipment.
Complete required SAP transactions for picking, loading, and shipping while maintaining system updates.
Prepare and validate shipping and inventory paperwork.
Communicate with sales and production teams to confirm scheduled shipments.
Audit loads to prevent quality issues related to packaging, unitizing, or other defects.
Identify and resolve quality concerns as they arise.
Direct and assign responsibilities to team members, requesting planner support when necessary.
Ensure finished goods are transferred into shipping bins promptly.
Perform tasks that may require heavy lifting, ensuring proper safety precautions are followed.Essential Skills
Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory tracking
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in shipping software and data management
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely
Comfortable lifting 50lbs.

Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position in Norwalk, Iowa, with shifts from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The work schedule is currently 32-40 hours a week, preparing for a busy season with potential 50-hour work weeks and two Saturdays a month. The warehouse is not temperature controlled, so it can get hot. You will work in a small team of 10-15 individuals. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes or boots, shorts or jeans, and a work-appropriate shirt or tank top.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwalk, Iowa.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
