Minimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.

Position Details:

Job Title: Sign Language Interpreter 1:1 Support

Schedule: Full-time, MondayFriday

Fridays: Early release (leave early on Fridays)

Start/End Dates: August 18, 2025 June 1, 2026

Setting: 100% Onsite

Student Assignment: 1:1 interpreter for a 4th grade student

Key Responsibilities:

Provide real-time 1:1 interpretation in American Sign Language (ASL) during academic instruction and classroom activities

Support the students munication and social development throughout the school day

Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and the IEP team

Maintain confidentiality and ensure effective munication in all educational settings

Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Hold a valid Illinois SLI license or meet ISBE certification requirements

Previous school-based experience preferred

Strong interpersonal and munication skills

Ability to adapt to the needs of a single student and collaborate within a school team
