Material Handler

Job Description

Currently seeking a Material Handler for a full-time temporary position in Mapleville, RI.

Responsibilities of Material Handler

-Weigh and bag pork and raw meat products

-Unpack received raw materials and put away in correct locations

-Pack meats following proper guidelines and label appropriately

-Operate powered pallet jack and forklifts to move materials throughout production floor

-Count and maintain inventory levels

-Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times

-Follow all work safety rules and regulations

-Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements of Material Handler

-Past experience in a meat processing environment

-Experience in a repetitive and fast-paced role in an industrial environment

-Must have previous experience operating powered pallet jack or forklifts

-Comfortable working in a wet or humid environment

-Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Good communications skills including ability to read, write, and speak fluent English

-Good attention to detail

-Able to multi-task

Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Saturday

Pay Rate: $18.75 based on shift and experienceCompany Description
