Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator and Material Handler to operate powered industrial trucks for loading and unloading materials and deliveries. You will be responsible for moving items to and from storage areas, machines, loading docks, and transportation vehicles. This role involves handling construction materials such as shingles, plywood, insulation, and plumbing supplies. Additionally, you will use a scan gun for inventory counts and maintenance, working collaboratively with warehouse associates to ensure accuracy and speed in customer service.
Responsibilities
Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries.
Move items to and from storage areas, machines, loading docks, and transportation vehicles.
Handle construction materials including shingles, plywood, insulation, and plumbing supplies.
Use a scan gun for inventory counts and inventory maintenance.
Work as a team with other warehouse associates to provide excellent customer service.
Provide customer service as needed, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Drive a box truck long-term after the contract role, requiring flexibility in hours.Essential Skills
Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
Warehouse experience.
Proven attention to detail and teamwork skills.
Reliable attendance.
Experience using an RF scanner gun.
Ability to unload trailers by hand and lift up to 50 lbs.Additional Skills & Qualifications
6 months to 1 year of box truck driving experience.

Work Environment
Work takes place in a thriving branch environment. The position operates from Monday to Friday, 7am to 4:30pm, with flexibility to stay until tasks are completed, typically averaging 45-48 hours per week. Long-term driving roles may require early starts as early as 4am, ensuring flexibility on start and end times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eugene, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
