Job Description
As a Mold Assembler, you will support machine operators and the core department by performing various tasks under supervision. Your main duties will include operating the core oven to bake cores, as well as loading and unloading trays and racks. You will also transport materials across departments using pallet moving equipment, including forklifts, and carry out casting wash procedures. Compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean and orderly work area are essential aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
Assist machine operators and the core department in general tasks.
Operate core oven to bake cores and manage trays and racks.
Utilize pallet moving equipment to transport materials across departments.
Use forklift to manage racks in the oven and deliver them to core preparation.
Retrieve empty racks, organize core pallets, and deliver core wire.
Perform casting wash procedures.
Observe and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
Maintain simple records and perform related duties as assigned.
Keep work area clean and orderly.
Perform other work as instructed by supervisor.Essential Skills
Machine operating experience.
Assembly and quality inspection skills.
Experience in a foundry environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to learn crane operation.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in a foundry is beneficial.
Basic machine operating skills are preferred.Work Environment
The work environment is a very dirty and loud manufacturing setting, with approximately 100 employees. You will be expected to work amidst these conditions, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HANOVER, Pennsylvania.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
