Job Description

Minimum 1+ years social worker experience required.

An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide essential support in a K-12 school environment located in Ionia, MI. This full-time contract position is aimed at the 2025-2026 school year, where the focus will be on fostering the social-emotional and behavioral development of students.

Qualifications:

Valid Michigan School Social Worker license (310 endorsement)

Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program

Completion of a state-approved School Social Worker program

Registered with the Michigan Department of Education and licensed by the Michigan Board of Social Work

Familiarity with special education law, IEP processes, and behavioral interventions

Experience in a school setting preferred

Location:

Stanton, MI (Ionia area)

Responsibilities:

Provide social-emotional and behavioral support tailored to student needs

Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families to enhance student well-being

Actively participate in IEP meetings, develop intervention plans, and maintain necessary documentation

Support the implementation of MTSS and monitor student progress
