Technical Writer
Interested in getting in at the ground floor of a new, disruptive company attacking an important multi-billion-dollar problem? Businesses and consumers continue to demand increasing data services at an exponential rate -- streaming, deep learning, analytics, loT connectivity, and more. What this means is higher performing CPUs, components, servers, and ultimately Data and Edge computing centers, all generating excessive heat that is increasingly difficult to manage with traditional cooling systems. Accelsius is developing revolutionary direct-to-chip, 2-Phase cooling technologies that empower and enable Server OEMs, Data Centers, Edge Computing Operators, and 5G Edge deployments to meet performance, sustainability, scale, and cost goals while serving this high-growth market for data services.
We are seeking a Technical Writer to develop clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for the assembly, installation, operation, and maintenance of our innovative thermal management products. This role is critical to enabling both internal teams and external customers to effectively use and support our technology. The ideal candidate will have a talent for translating complex technical concepts into practical, accessible written materials. This position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and requires close collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Client Operations teams.
Role Responsibilities:
Create, edit, and maintain comprehensive documentation, including:
Installation manuals
Assembly procedures
Maintenance guides
User manuals
Internal SOPs
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and subject matter experts to gather technical content and ensure accuracy
Observe product assembly and installation processes to document real-world procedures
Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and structured materials for various audiences (e.g., customers, internal teams, technicians)
Review and revise documents based on feedback from engineering, quality, and end users
Ensure all documentation complies with company standards, brand, and regulatory requirements
Organize and manage documentation repositories using common tools and version control methods
Qualifications for this role include:
3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a hardware, manufacturing, or engineering environment
Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field
Experience creating technical documentation for physical products and systems
Excellent written communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering concepts
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes
Familiarity with documentation tools or other content authoring software (specific tools can be learned on the job)
Startup experience is a plus
