Reporting to: Corporate Controller
Responsibilities
Daily online banking reports.
Preparation of Daily Cash Receipts for divisional cash application.
Preparation of daily electronic transactions including: ACH, wire transfers, and foreign currency transactions.
Daily recording of all cash transactions including deposits, loan advances & pay downs, electronic and miscellaneous
cash transactions, controlled disbursement issues and payments.
Monthly reconciliation of company’s operating accounts.
Interface with bank support services to resolve account issues.
Preparation of monthly cash journal entries.
Monthly reconciliation of general ledger cash accounts.
Print and summarize UPS invoices.
Monthly trips to the bank to make deposits and reimburse petty cash.
Cross train and provide vacation coverage in accounts payable and invoicing functions.
Process payables checks as required.
Other accounting projects & tasks as assigned.
Observe good housekeeping and safety habits, follow Jergens’ policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Associates Degree in accounting or business administration is required. Has the necessary training to be proficient in the position.
A minimum of one to three years of related treasury or accounting experience.
Is able to effectively communicate, build relationships, present ideas, and work with people in a collaborative manner.
Knowledgeable in accounting procedures and other regulations pertaining to corporations.
Has excellent computer skills and is proficient with all related company systems and programs.
Has strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective time management skills in prioritizing and addressing multiple and at times conflicting demands.
High energy with a sense of urgency in responding to procurement needs.
High level of personal and professional integrity.
