Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Henrico, Virginia. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and organizing incoming inventory shipments, primarily consisting of apparel such as t-shirts and jerseys. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on role and has a keen eye for accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Inspect incoming shipments and verify their contents against packing lists or invoices.
• Accurately record inventory details into the designated inventory management system.
• Organize and categorize boxes of apparel to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
• Monitor and track inventory levels to maintain precise records.
• Collaborate with team members to address any discrepancies in shipments.
• Ensure all inventory data is entered in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace for efficient operations.
• Report any damaged or missing items to the appropriate team members.
• Provide support in preparing inventory for events or distribution when needed.• Proven experience in inventory management or a similar clerical role.
• Familiarity with inventory software or systems; experience with Teamworks is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to lift and move boxes as part of daily responsibilities.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and address issues.
• Previous experience with ERP systems or clerical duties is an advantage.
